The course covers how a power system with a high share of wind and solar is modelled and optimised: time series, electricity markets and dispatch, linear programming, storage, capacity expansion, scenarios and sector coupling. In the lab you build the model in Python and PyPSA.

The lab runs on your own laptop. Install Python, the packages and the HiGHS solver before the first session, using the setup guide and notebook NB-0 in this course. Bring this laptop to every session.
